Our Founders

AMIE ANNIS
Amie is the visionary behind Snakes & Ladders, a campaign born from purpose, compassion, and a fearless drive for change.

A Criminology and Criminal Psychology student from Essex, Amie brings academic insight and real-world passion to the fight against gang crime.
Her commitment runs deep-rooted in a belief that every individual, no matter their past, deserves a path to something better.

Dedicated to dismantling the cycles of harm that trap young people in the criminal underworld, she leads with empathy, intellect, and unshakable resolve.
Her work isn’t about punishment — it’s about prevention, protection, and possibility.

Through Snakes & Ladders, Amie is building more than a campaign. She’s building a movement — one that lifts people up, listens without judgment, and creates ladders of hope where snakes once lay in wait.
CLAY WILKINSON
At the heart of Snakes & Ladders is Clay, a gifted drummer and committed music production student from Essex whose passion for change goes far beyond the stage.

As co-founder, Clay brings not only artistic talent and creative leadership, but a deeply rooted empathy that defines the soul of this campaign.
Known for his kindness, patience, and ability to truly listen, he creates safe, honest spaces for young people to speak, reflect, and grow.

His lived experience and musical insight shape the campaign’s voice — one that resonates with hope, courage, and the power of second chances.
Through rhythm and resilience, Clay helps guide young people away from gang involvement and toward something greater. He doesn’t just play the beat. He moves with purpose — and inspires others to do the same.
